Piccolo is probably the only person in all of DBZ that I could see Vegeta being friends with aside from Goku

Every movie except the new ones always had Vegeta and Piccolo at the end credits just quietly chilling somewhere. A mutual respect I guess. In the anime it was just the Final Atonement where they had a moment.

Favorite part of DBZ was this scene of Goku and Frieza towards the end of their battle. Even as a child Goku's speech resonated with me cause of the obvious parellels between Frieza/white supremacists and saiyans/black people.



Frieza's reaction to realizing he's lost straight up to something he's always believed himself superior to is exactly how all those white folks must've felt when they saw Jack Johnson fight way back in the day. Just pure ether
