Once complete, this will be the densest neighbourhood in Canada, providing thousands of homes for Vancouverites who have long been squeezed between the country’s priciest real estate and some of its lowest vacancy rates.
This is huge fukkin news and the damned chinamen cant do shiit aboot it.
We know why the vacancy rates are low
And the real estate has become so egregiously expensive.
What the tribes are doing is giving back to the Vancouverans that deserve a decent place of shelter that doesnt take half of their income.
As a lifelong Seattleite that saw the Chinamen pillage and play monopoly with The BC neighborhood since as long as i could process what realty was, this is a very welcome addition to the city that will certainly help quell the residential

One of my friends said Vancouver is his favorite city in the world. Dude has been to nearly every major city in the world, possibly multiple times.

East Hastings is the skid row part and it's nasty as hell.
This is nearer to Kitsalano which is where older ultra rich people live.
They are usually allowed to get things like this delayed or canceled but because the land is owned by the Squamish Nation. There is not a thing they can do.
