I'm not talking about a succession plan. My point is that you don't need any of Trump's cronies to be a MAGA leader. Just like Mitch McConnel doesn't need to be Ronald Reagan to try and enact Reaganomics. MAGA is now bigger than Trump and his circle. Tariq Nasheed or Joe Rogan could be the next MAGA person.

But the Republicans have clearly locked up social media and have bigger social media personalities. Dems failed to calculate that mainstream news and streaming services, Cannot compete with a device that people hold in their hand and stare at 24/7. It really was a no brainer,Dems are just stupid. excellent post, I think the Dems have a problem with SM platforms because they want to set agenda and control/censor discourse more than the Republicans do on that type of platform. The TV allows you to do that, which is probably why Dems like it and you can make it a reward/ punishment deal. SM anything can go viral and your agenda can be questioned by all.
The other problem is what social matters do Republicans really stand for that can be used to upset people on a dail basis? Dems have trans,trans kids,abortions,immigration,diversity/"replacement theory".
Dems really only have abortion,but most women arent "champions" of abortion. Alot of women THINK they wont ever be one of those women who goes to the clinic. So trying to excite women with abortion,thinking they will champion it just to have the option for later use is flawed imo. I believe alot of women dont think they will need that option or would ever use it. So its not on their mind like that.
And of course you have good ol racism. This is obviously the Dems go to move,to incite its voter base by pointing out Republican racism.
But Republicans have basically programmed non blacks to be tired of all the racism talk and "wokeness". So Dems leaning into that on social media,is only going to alienate alot of non blacks. And black people were already frustrated with the empty pandering since 2016. After being let down and the first black president not having the impact we thought.
I would say the Dems need to completely overhaul and replace old guard with youth,newcomers and outsiders entirely. But some of these young liberal leftist seem so nutty,I dont know if that could easily be a disaster lol. Dems are cooked if they cant win black people back over

They presuppose that the leaders of their side aren't wolves or at least some type of predator that wants to consume the sheep. Even if they see their leaders as shepherds, they forget one thing. Shepherds are human and humans are the most conniving predator that nature has ever produced.

Republicans haven't spent 2 generations fukking up education for no reason. They don't want critical thinkers. Most Dem voters...if you asked them "why" they voted Kamala, it came from a place of pragmatism. They didn't see her as a savior, but they understood what another Trump presidency meant....and that it would be bad for 98% of Americans (can we say tariffs).
Most GOP voters outside of anti-abortion folks....couldn't tell you one thing about how Trump makes things better...outside of repeating Fox or Peter Thiel's handcrafted talking points.
Dems are like books. Republicans are like smart phones.
Modern people have zero attention span for books. Dems need a progressive populist message that's simple and easy to understand....then hammer it home. You can't win on gender/race issues because Mexicans and uneducated whites immediately tune out on anything deep. You gotta keep it simple for them. Dems = more money, more (good) jobs and more freedom (Robin Hood); GOP = bad guy who wants to steal your money and give to the rich (Sheriff of Nottingham).
