Only a couple are consistently dope. I'm very critical and far less forgiving of mediocrity, at this stage of my hip-hop consumption, finding it difficult to give even an album with more than a handful of bangers repeated listens because of the inconsistency. I'll take those songs and add them to my playlist, but the album from which they came will fare poorly in my eyes, due to them being joined by so much unlistenable filler. Vado's album is dope from front to back. There isn't a single wack song on it, which cannot be said for almost every album listed above. :yeshrug:

ight

track 1 was cool. started awkward. build up took too long. wasnt wack just slightly bland but on 2nd listen was a lil better.

track 2 is FIRE and shouldve been the first track, this might be the second best vado song ive herd

you can clearly see he had mainstream potential. jim verse was very entertaining even before the tranny lines :dame:

track 3 is Solid AF. hoping every song hit like 2 and 3 and you not lying

ferg ripped that but was it only 8 bars? lol song was good regardless

track 4 is tough, beat is knocking, i like this boom trap sound for vado. this is the sound i expected when he was runnin round wit cam. bennys verse was cool, didnt add anything

track 5 is cool. i mean its hard for me to hate this beat lol. its meeeee again. loses points for originality but only minor because i dnt wana credit hov for peoples love of old soul/rnb

so far your batting average is strong, i hope the album stays this consistent. dave east wasnt needed on this, just like benny is was ight but unnecessary. probabl wouldve been better wit vado stayin smooth.

track 6

the intro already had me thinkn it was a dive but this beat is hard AF. song is dope and not corny and doesnt pander. another banger.

vado falls somewhere between a camron and big L so very rarely should i mention his lyrical prowess. his raps are a given.

track 7

reminds me of a 90s era type beat, very dope and vado showing off. "goin off the head i dont even have to write"

you not roc nation till you sit on lenny couch lol

sounds like the sound of someone bangin on the board was sampled. again so dope

track 8 is almost what i picture couldve been the beat instead of politics as usual. this song is dope and at this point this album gona be placed among the list i used to chastize you. AZ actually bodied his verse and he went more than 16 wooooo

track 10 was hard but points knocked off for the trap version of beans chapters of the same book. bonus points reinstated cuz he quoted sigel and then went another verse at the end. BARS.

track 9 is dope and even tho its all trap the shyt stil knocks and vado aint outa pocket. dope new era track

album dope AF and has dope beats, bars and is what a hiphop fan should

igs not better than all the shyt you said it was but it belongs in the list

3.5 mics / 4 mics and def album of year contender on ya top 20 list

I know you're lyin and I almost negged you for this grade A shytpost.

I need to check out the bold, because I had no idea they dropped anything this year. I highly doubt Dave's music is any better than Vado's. I remember when people online were saying Vado was a poor man's Santana. I might have to check out that song with AZ though.
