i saw this posted to viooz but went with something else instead
is viral at least as good as v/h/s/2??
#2 was a step down from the oriignal but still worth a look

i saw viral a while back so let me update my opinion- not that it matters

i thought original had 4/6 "interesting" segments
v/h/s/2 was down to 2/5 interesting segments (or 3/6 if you consider one was double-length)
viral is 2/5 interesting segments (shorter run time- missing one segment)

"interesting" is a subjective opinion, of course
but i think this trend shows the dropoff

imo only point of having an anthology format is if majority of segments are strong
otherwise, i'd rather just watch high-rated "shorts" that won awards

Part 1 had one really good segment and rest were average to good.

Part 2 had one excellent segment and two other solid ones. I think part 2 is most well rounded.

Part 3 was absolutely terrible.

I was entertained. The weakest short was the main story but i was entertained.

Dante the Magician was Fire fukk that. nikka was ill as fukk with that cloak

The portal was ill as fukk.

The skateboarders dragged with them just beating the shyt outta people but a broad daylight attack by demonic Dojas, i was entertained

The main story with the Halloween 3 ripoff shyt was a little fugazi but when ol boy got dragged till his feet popped off.

Basically. I thought 1 was pretty good just for being creepy and original for the most part. With it having multiple people working on each short it makes it hard to really be cohesive. Part 2 didnt have the creepiness of the first to me, but some of the ideas were better. Viral was pure trash from start to ending.

I remember being really hype for this after the first two and being very let down after seeing it a while back.
Dante the magician was the best part of this. Reminded me of something I'd see on like Tales from the Crypt.

The wraparound was trash and didn't go anywhere.

The alternate dimension was cool, probably could've used a few more minutes to really explore it more.

I thought the skateboarding short sucked.

I am renting the physical copy of this soon though just to check out the Gorgeous Vortex part that didn't make the original release.
