You said your location is Cali. I picked L.A. and did a search for active check cashing businesses within a hundred miles, and saw over 400 entries.
Did it for Sacramento and saw 200+ active entries.
Not sure you know what you're talking about.
Hopefully the Post Office I go to will stop running out of money orders and stamps

the USPS use to have banking services.
Their hours are trash. Basically you have to take time off work if you go there on a weekday.

Th post office. I think my local is open 8-4:30 and this is in the city.
You can cash checks at ealmart or digitally direct deposit. Usps isnt changing hours for this. Lol
got some 9-5pm and 7-6:30pm offices here.
there aren't any walmarts in brooklyn and plenty of post offices. for a flat $5.95 fee of cashing a check less than $500, when the word gets out it'll be popular for those without a bank account or someone who doesn't want to wait to go to a bank for whatever reason.
a debit gift card will deter robbers as well.
