Using Google Wallet/Phone's NFC to pay and cashiers/managers getting suspicious

I don't think paying with cell phones will become mainstream in this country until Apple decides to get into the game.

Until then, it's wild west with banks, carriers, credit card processors and credit card companies all fighting for a piece of the pie, which is why there's no single standard and why you get a wildly different experience from merchant to merchant. Nobody wants to deal with wondering if it'll work here or there or if a certain associate knows what they're doing or not.

I love it. I use mostly at Duane Reade. The first few times the cashiers were like ...

Not so much any more tho I guess more people have been using it.
