It's either one of these I think:

1. Our tech aint all that, and all these lasers and satellite shyt don't work against our middle eastern enemies. Hard to root out the real threats.

2. We could eliminate them off the map in a matter of months, but we prolong the wars for $$$ reasons

Yea i guess a war is easy to win when the goal is KILL EVERYONE but if you have specific goals to maintain infrastructure and keep civilians casualties to a minimum it gets a lot more difficult.
