US Is an Oligarchy Not a Democracy, says Scientific Study

The problem with this study is that is leads to a simple answer to a complex assessment.

The fanatics and fringe conspiracy groups shoot in the their pants when they read this believing that the conspiracy of an elite rich cabal controls the country.

The short answer is...America operates more as an oligarchy.

The long answer should explain the root causes of why America is that way and what causes the elite to have so much influence over our elected officials? Has our constitution and democracy inadvertently enabled the possibility of oligarchs and plutocrats to be created?

This is all the result of "we the people' opting for poor trade offs.

...whew, i can see both sides

saying supreme court is controlled by graduates of harvard- yale Stanford but that's the top three schools

well, the turnover is like 2 justices every 4 years -- so who else would you want? maybe t14 schools but why even go that low? you have one vacancy every other year. so of course it is a top performer from one of the three same schools

someone's going to be chairman of federal reserve - probably needs to be someone who did a fancy Ph.D. on the economy, which was probably done at a top school. i know people say it is all elites running everything - but who is really qualified for some of these jobs?

i'm not happy about it being an oligarchy but i can see how it happened

This isn't saying what America should be, its saying that America isn't what it says it is.... So basically water is wet.
