That's how I feel about the battle as well to be honest. Both of them were mid, Surf was just less mid. Surf def wasn't close to as good as he was vs Twork and Cal.

Surf losing focus on battlerap again. That's probably also why he taking Danny in December, instead of someone like Daylyt. Views it as an easy check. If this Surf shows up against Danny, Surf will be in trouble

All of this. Rapping for the people is a slippery for many reasons. In this case, the people are babying him when he shyts the bed and there’s no accountability. Before the battles…Chess is talking crazy in the faceoffs and it’s all “Chess the young Gawd!! Chess 3-0!!” After the battles…”Pray for Chess yall…he woulda/coulda/shoulda…his material…blah blah blah”

It’s do or die, no alibis. He’s meeting the objective or he’s not. How many more passes is he gonna get for what he WOULD have done? Another thing that gets on my nerves…he KNOWS he has issues with nausea and completing battles but spends SO much time between bars talking shyt and saying “it’s different!” when he needs to focus on finishing clean.
