This is actually how I scored the battle during the PPV. I'm going to watch it again, but I was never in the "Chess' first round is so amazing" crowd. In fact, I was feeling that first half of his third round before he starting choking.

Now that it's been a couple of months, I will give it another listen this week.

I believe Surf wanted to mentor him too. He was going to battle Surf at some point after Roc, then I figured Surf would put him under the wing like he did Roc.
