You’ll go to jail for driving with you cars interior lights on for long periods of time :laff:

My folks are originally from the Delta so I’ve heard them all. The strangest one was if you had a cold, they would make us go outside and play in the first spring shower. No bs, we could be sick as a dog but after doing it we would be feeling better and no signs of a cold after we did it.
So that actually worked?

People also don't know that instead of beating the dog to get him to let go all you have to do is stick something in their butthole :dame: and they'll let go immediately. I hate seeing video where they're smacking them with sticks and the dog seems unfazed and keeps mauling the victim

I keep telling people that and they look at me like a freak.

You know what’s funny.... and thanks for the info.....

It’s not even a black myth that got me. I remember being a kid and watching MASH. Soldier gets wounded but doesn’t die. Another boy gets wounded but doesn’t die. But the second one could live if the first one died and gave up the organs

Had the preacher in there PRAYING that the lord take the one first quickly so the second could live. I wrote that shyt off from that day forth.

Another “myth” or maybe not...... that EMTs or nurses/doctors will check you for an insurance card and if you don’t have one, it’s not on you, you getting that basic treatment, maybe none at all if they don’t work with it.

From what I've read I think the myth stems from white medical schools stealing the bodies of deceased blacks and using them to train white medical students. This was a common practice of the Southern medical schools after slavery in the 20's and 30's. They even made it a focal point in recruitment pamphlets stating that as a medical student you would have an abundance of "material" to train with. It makes sense given that history blacks in America would carry that over into other aspects of medical care.

Using violence against children teaches them that using violence is not a solution.
Mental issues are just in the mind.
The end of the world is nigh so no need to ...
Telling kids not to talk back will adequately prepare them for a world in which they will need to talk back.

Braids/cornrows make your hair grow

That's technically true! Braids, weaves, wigs, hair buns are protective styles. Hair is always growing, but when you're using heat, color, chemicals, brushing/combing your hair every day. Your losing hair. Braids and other protective styles retaining hair because when you're wearing these styles your not losing hair by flat ironing, combing, etc.

When I get braids and leave them in few a few months. My hair always grows with braids in. Because I take care of them the same way if my hair wasn't braided. I still wash and oil my hair. Some of the people with the longest hair are people with dreads and naturals. There's a black woman with the longest hair and its dreads. Because it takes more effort to maintain straight hair than curly/natural hair. But there are people with long relaxed hair.

Maybe a bad analogy. But it's like a cut, if you keep picking at it takes longer to heal, than if you leave the bandage on. And let it heal on it own.

Black people being kidnapped to harvest melanin.
John F. Kennedy was pro-civil rights.
The government killed Malcolm X, and not the Nation of Islam.
Tommy Hilfiger didn't want Black people wearing his clothes.
The crack epidemic ruined Black neighborhoods, and not the deindustrialization, mass police raids, and mass-incarceration that occurred before, during, and after.
Gangs formed to protect the Black community from the White community.
This is true, if some white kids are causing shyt with you, you and your friends will form a "gang" to protect yourselves

That's exactly true.

All the major Black gangs started in the '50s when Whites still lived in inner cities and would harass the Black kids.

If ya bones ache. It's gonna rain.

This is factually true though
Winter and Arthritis - Arthritis WA
those living with arthritis as climate can create increased pain to joints whilst changes also occur to exercise routines.

Many arthritis sufferers claim they can predict rainfall due to the level of pain in their joints. A recent study conducted in the US explains why. The study focused on patients with chronic pain, surveying if individuals feel an increase in pain when changes in weather occurs.

"67.9 percent of the people surveyed responded that they were sure changes in the weather had an effect on their pain. Most of the patients reported that they can feel a change in their pain before rain or cold weather occur," said Robert Jamison, Professor at the Harvard Medical School and chief psychologist at the Pain Management Center at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Chestnut Hill.

Jamison revealed however that the factor that may be responsible for increased pain is not snow, cold or rain, but actually, a change in barometric pressure. Barometric pressure (atmospheric pressure) is the force exerted onto a surface by the weight of the atmosphere at any given point. As a storm system develops, the barometric pressure begins to drop.

Jamison explains the impact of barometric pressure on the body through a test conducted with a balloon. "When a balloon is inflated, it has the maximum inside and outside pressure. High barometric pressure that pushes against the body from the outside keeps tissues from expanding." As the barometric pressure falls, tissues in the body may expand. As the tissues expand, they put more pressure on nerves that control pain signals.

"It doesn't take much expansion or contraction of tissue to affect a pain trigger," Jamison said. Therefore even individuals who live in drier climates also reported feeling more pain with weather changes.

this is back when the NOI was saying that black and white people can't live in a integrated society and it's better to have your own or move back to Africa. They both also blamed jews for a lot of things.
