I just looked up his wikipedia, and these are his activities of the last 10 years:

Co-founded a capital management firm that dissolved in 4 years ago being sued by investors for fraud. His co-founder was found to have defrauded investors of over $5 million and is currently serving a 10-year federal prison sentence.

Invested $1.9 million in a fraudulent ponzi scheme, then filed for bankruptcy.

Set up a charity for veterans that was found to have only spent 1/3 of its donations on actual charity work.

Said in an interview that WW2 was fought to "free Europe of socialism" (apparently unaware that the Russians were on OUR side), said that the three branches of government were House, Senate, and Executive, and said he was looking forward to raising money from his Senate office (a violation of federal law).
