Vince is more concerned with imposing his will on the wrestlers so they can’t dictate their terms to him and controlling the narrative that all things good in pro wrestling begin and end with him than he is with actually putting on a good show. I really don't even think it's that deep. He's a 73 year old man who did coke and steroids for decades and spent 1998-2003 getting concussions regularly. He has no attention span anymore and has been completely in charge of his company and entire industry for so long that he's in an impenetrable bubble to anything else. All these guys getting hired are HHH/Regal/Albert moves, you really think Vince is watching CZW/PWG/WXW/PROGRESS tapes searching for talent? He doesn't know who any of these guys are until they're in front of him and then he makes up his own snap judgement.
