Most people calling him out aren't even Christians like Apu in here. They don't give a damn if he opens the church or not. They just want to push agendas. He was nearly run out of the main Harvey thread for doing that. Stick to posting tweets.
yup the christian and catholic church have done more to turn people away from christ than turn people into believers
there's countless stories of ex believers pointing to the church and christians as to why they now denounce their faith or questioned it.
and when one questions their faith they get ridiculed for it, which to me is insane. questioning my faith brought me to more enlightenment and becoming more of a believer.
That's not what these young uneducated militant negroes want to hear.
They want to blame white Jesus; whoever that is by the way, for all of the problems in life that many of them have brought upon themselves.

I wonder if those people who went up there to prove it wasn't flooded are going to come back with some donations or to volunteer?

Not sure how the general public thought he could come up with the personnel on the fly to open, maintain, and secure the building, while organizing sleeping\feeding arrangements on top of it......
You would have to get enough volunteers or people who aren't really effected by the flood to be willing to serve or get paid for their services.....

Joel Osteen's Church Now Open to Houston Evacuees in Wake of Harvey (UPDATE)
7:50 AM PT -- Pastor Osteen's church is now open for evacuees, and he says flooding inside the church is the reason for the delay.
A Lakewood Church rep tells us, "Lakewood’s doors are open now to anyone needing shelter. We are also coordinating with the city as a collection site for distributing supplies to area shelters. We are collecting diapers, baby formula, baby food and other supplies. Please bring these items to Lakewood Church, Circle Drive off Timmons St."
The rep also sent us photos of "initial flooding" within the church, and says this is "why we couldn't open initially."
Pastor Joel Osteen is taking serious heat for not turning his Houston megachurch into a shelter for thousands of displaced residents who have no place to go.
The Houston Lakewood Church has a capacity of almost 17,000 but it has not been open to evacuees since the storm hit.
