black love, unity, and music
I've been to Atlanta and Miami but other than that, damn The South
Wild ass place, can't believe that it's the same nation sometimes. When I read about places like Alabama, Mississippi and on.

Would you stop with this ignorant trash. These same racist fraternities and sororities exist in campuses all over the nation, including the "liberal" northeast. Racism white supremacy is a "global" phenomenon.

Birmingham, Alabama
Difference is that Alabama is 25% black, Atlanta is 55% black (about the same population)
There's a large ass middle class filled with black people in Atlanta or even better if you go to places like Augusta. The only thing missing in Atlanta is more white hoods, even it out a bit.

And wait what?? Are you fukking comparing Alabama and Mississippi to Atlanta and Miami :dead:. I heard that black and white people couldn't get married until 1989 in Mississippi :whew:. I read Mississippi is in the bottom of just about every important statistic

. In the United States, Mississippi ranks 50th in the nation in health care for its residents. Yup, it's the worst. No one can ever beat Mississippi in "Worst Health Care" because they're the best at "Worst Health Care". The only way they could be less awful would be if we burned down every health care facility in any one of the other 49 states.

But that's not all they have to brag about! Lowest ACT scores? Check! Poorest state in the country? Check! Bottom of the American Human Development Index? Check! 21.8% of its residents living below the poverty line? Check! Laws to ban gay marriage and prohibit the state from recognizing gay marriages performed in other states? Check! A constitution that mandates "No person who denies the existence of a Supreme Being shall hold any office in this state"? Check!
And Alabama didn't officially remove their interrelation ban until 2000 even though you it was "unenforceable" :wow:. Nearly 60% of Mississippi republicans said either "not sure" or "illegal" regarding if interracial marriage should be illegal or legal

There's probably hoods that are the same except that, I doubt that anything at all is the same.
Go to Europe and people are taught there's places that are socially like third world countries in the US.

Atlanta is 55% Black NOT GEORGIA. hell Birmingham and Jackson are both blacker. Birmingham is 75% black, outside of a boss or two at work, I can go a day or two without seeing nothing but Black people.

And naw its not a comparison. But Miami ain't a stranger to race riots and racism either playboy......It is in Florida afterall

Yea Florida probably, I've only been to Miami and I was there for the winter music conference with my man.
So i obviously didn't feel the social atmosphere.

And I was just comparing areas of similar population sizes, Alabama has a smaller population than Brooklyn+Queens.
Atlanta vs all of Albama or all of Miss... seemed reasonable.

What I'm saying is that I went to places that aren't representative of the shyt I read about these places, anytime I read about them.
In Atlanta I hear about how the black middle class is growing, how blacks are moving out to the suburbs and living that sweet life with fully black suburbs, gays running around without being harassed, a lot of nicely sized black owned businesses, advanced degrees increasing sharply for black people and on. They have the crime though and there's still rough places. They have to focus on getting that in order (even if GA is a red state), it could lead by example to these other places.

You forget that Atlanta is a place that people from all over the South and country migrate to after college.....so people who went to college in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, etc are moving there for jobs. So the same people who've lived in these places you're talking about, have moved to Atlanta in the past, present, and future. Same with most major cities around or near the South. Atlanta has part of East Alabama as it's local television market. The attitudes are different person to person. That's all it is.
