Not really. Fungi usually only affect the immunocompromised. Healthy individuals don’t normally get colonized. This is serious, because any superbug is serious and we will start seeing more of them with our rampant antibiotic and anti fungal use, but it’s not a huge public health crisis yet. This is really concerning for healthcare bound people and those who are always in the hospital. People with things like long term IV lines and other open infections should be worried.
