unpopular opinion: 'all the stars' demo version was better without sza

when Black Panther came out, you couldnt get away from this song. i always liked the lyrics, but i hated how 'pop' it sounded. the hook does sound like some manufactured bs.

but i was on a thread in the coli when someone linked the original demo, where kendrick sings the hook. it made me re-evaluate the song.

nothing against SZA, i think shes amazing, but on this track her hook had too much of a mainstream pop taylor swift/katy perry feel.

honestly i think it was the fact that the song was so... overproduced that it turned me off

it is a good song at its core, i think thats why i like the midgets versions here better. it has more spirit idk

You can also clearly tell he wasn't even trying as he knew it wasn't the final song. Kendrick can have outstanding singing though (Untitled 6 for example where he had everyone wondering who the hell was this great singer singing along Ceelo...well it was him lol). Here, it was just a demo.

i liked her when she first debuted with her eps
but over the years idk she bothers me.

only time i like is when she collab with zay
i LOVE her collabs with zay they never miss.

and then i lowkey dont like her image.
