Black Panther is overrated. It was a good movie but overhyped because people were so excited to see a black superhero and primary black cast.

The Sopranos is overrated.

Apocalypse Now is overrated.

Scarface is overrated

Captain Marvel is mediocre. This may be, in fact, a popular internet opinion but it usually comes with some agenda but I honestly don't know how this got better reviews than Alita Battle Angel. Captain Marvel might as well not have happened. It's not great, not terrible a very middle of the road movie that had not been for the pre-hate/sexist controversies would've been judged so.

It is. I liked it when it dropped but it gets worse every time I watch. Friday/Next Friday are far better movies.

This isn't so much an opinion about a specific show/movie as it is a general gripe I've had for a long time overall....

The opening scene of a pilot episode or a movie doesn't need to be a graphic sex scene. Showcasing (simulated) hardcore fukking, bare ass & titties or whatever in a show revolving around raunchy subject matter (say, The Deuce) is no big deal. But if it's a project looking to be taken seriously long term, a borderline pornographic opening ain't the way.
