I'm just trying to see what schools are lining up to give Sluka this big NIL money with those stats. I think he's overvaluing himself. Now if he's doing this cause he felt lied to and misled that's one thing. But I just hope he realizes that with one year of eligibility, your options are limited. Why not just work something out with UNLV and try to get to the NFL? His numbers at Holy Cross are decent enough.

Wait I’m confused

Isn’t Cromartie the one who negotiated the deal?? So why didn’t HE make UNLV sign a contract? Why is he on Twitter like he had no part in the mess? :why:

Or did I read the article wrong?

Because that is still not allowed. Colleges still can't pay players directly. They can only "facilitate" the deal

Always knew this was the way teams would counter having the pay college athletes...

They would just...not pay the athletes the money they said they would :mjlol:

You keep playing we'll get you the other 97k when your a 6th year senior :mjlol:

Oh damn you got drafted in the 5th round by the Dolphins whelp that makes you ineligible for the NIL money good luck :mjlol:

I always thought this was supposed to be Name, Image, Likeness…as in you can get sponsorships/advertisements. You could make money off of the school selling your jersey…shyt like that.

It immediately turned into getting paid to come to a school. College sports are getting real stupid. I’m all for making money off of your name and success, but this shyt now is just dumb.

Well this what people get. They told the NCAA to stay out of it so the NCAA said bet and here we are. Gonna get mad at anyone, get mad at the state houses that make laws for a system they don’t understand. Who do yall think is feeding them what to put in bills?
Yep, NCAA wanted to set the regulations but the schools told them gtfoh. They wanted the wild wild west. They going shoot all over the place until a school like SMU screw over a blueblood.

And even that’s shaky. FSUs Alex Atkins just coming back from a 4 game suspension for dropping a recruit off at their NIL collective. Also says a lot about that program that the OC had to do this and not a GA or unofficial bagman on the staff.

50 states. 50 different NIL laws. And if the NCAA got member schools to agree to something, the rogue ones like Tennessee and Virginia just turn around and sue them or if the school presidents agree to a payout from a lawsuit, state attorneys general sue the NCAA.

Oh I see :dead:

I truly do hate it for em but if it’s all just handshakes then these kids learning a real life lesson the hardest way :manny: Genuinely it sucks but, your boss telling you you’re getting a raise doesn’t mean shyt until you get it/they send you a new work contract with the updated salary.

It’s a scummy move but the players still gotta move smarter, especially players like this dude. You’re not even an above average QB, you don’t have a lot of time left, anywhere you transfer that’s not a downgrade will probably make you a backup and you’ll end up getting less bread AND less playing time.
