This is a bad generalization and basically calling anyone with issues with a successful person a hater

Alot of the times its true though.

Go listen to Lake or Dehaven’s interviews/disses. It all stems from Nas/Jay not carrying nikkas on their backs. Even Cormega said he was wrong for a LOT of the fukkery that went down between him and Nas because of ego.

Prodigy’s biggest issue was trying to “keep it real” with all them QB thugs who never respected him since he wasn’t living in the Bridge since he was 5. He was showing love and nikkas was setting him up to get robbed and chin checked. Nas and Havoc both told him leave them crabs ALONE and he wouldn’t listen.

The truth is that alot of these grimy 90’s dudes didn’t have what it took to buckle down and crossover. There comes a time when the “street” mentality HAS to be left behind. Nas wasn’t getting no Hennesey, Timbaland, Bevel, or Lyft deals/endorsements keeping Lake and Nature around. Jay-Z doesn’t get to be President Of Def Jam while playing step dad to a bunch of bums from Marcy.

Interesting read. Seems to be the case for a lot of successful rappers tho

Aside from maybe Eminem and Snoop, most famous dudes in rap get dissed by their former business partners
It’s just how it is in life.

The more successful people get, the more they have to cut ties with people, and the more hate and attacks they get from those they cut ties with, legitimate beefs or not.

Not saying this about Ice Cube but just generally, when you're the cash cow and the only real big dog in the room and everybody is depending on you for a handout in one way or another, the second they can't leech off you for some paper or some success, unless they respect you on a level that doesn't pertain to your success/money, more than likely they will start talking subversive and moving funny. You can say this same thing about madd other successful rappers and their former weed carriers/label acts that disbanded then tried to leech off them still, only this time by dissing them and being their enemy.

And Cube seems like he isn't someone that's with the bullshyt, if he detects fukkery or foul play he's gonna sever ties and keep it moving without you.

Yeah, if there's one thing that's always been evident about Cube, dating all the way back to NWA, he'll separate himself from a bullshyt situation or something that's not working out. That's why you don't see him saying he got jerked or fukked over in the industry like so many others have. He's been able to make more moves because of it.

Now in the process, I'm sure he hasn't done right by EVERYBODY but I mean :manny: everybody's not gonna be hugely successful, that's just a fact. But unless that person is purposely doing you dirty, it's not their fault. There's a difference between intentionally harming someone's career and simply refusing to carry them.
