The Penn State football team has landed one of the top players in the WPIAL.

Dorian Johnson, a 6-foot-6, 285-pound offensive tackle and a senior at Belle Vernon High School, made a verbal commitment to Penn State tonight. His other finalists were Pitt, West Virginia and Ohio State, but Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame and numerous others offered.

I went to Pitt, some of my folks used to take me to Central Catholic, Ambridge and Aliquippa games back in the day. The WPIAL got ridiculous athletes and the systems they run are way more advanced than the squads I played in high school...

Even the white dudes playing intramurals from out of the WPIAL were sick

Its crazy how big High school football is back there. Its LIFE!

I kinda see that now being here in florida. Dudes take it very serious down here too. Only difference is all the kids got locs and they are ALL FAST.

WPIAL STAND UP!...... i dont think pitt will naturally eat off of this. But they can if they want to. Alot of WPIAL athletes consider penn state naturally .

So if pitt go out of their way to take what belongs to them then they shouldnt have problems. but its similiar to how The U was eating of southern florida and then other big name colleges came along and made things harder.

If pitt wants to make this benifit them then they will take the next 3 classes to make a statement going after what would be PSU recruits

its true breh. i remember penn hills and woodland hills were no joke before i got to HS then but now for the most part both are kind of run of mill HS teams. Gateway and Central seem to always be winning things at least in our area fukk all the other schools ( USC, North hills , NA ect) they get exposed when they play gateway central or ph anyway
