Alright @SouthSac916 you've made your point.

Congrats op. All you’ll hear in this thread is negativity. I come from a military family too and black veterans deserve more respect in the black community. :obama:

For some reason they are honored and then get the:sas2: from our community.

My grandfather's brothers except one were all Army and he had 7 brothers. I also got family at the LEO and Federal level. I have one family member that went to Waco.

Much respect. I chose the tech route like half my family. No military life for me :lolbron:

Bro stop with all the shyt you nothing about. The soldiers in those videos were shytted on. The MPs at the Tuskegee Air Force Base could not carry weapons cause the local populous in Alabama would allow black men to carry guns.

The veterans of WWI were give bad conduct reports in WWI for absolutely no reason. However the ones serving under the French received medals. I guess this your sister but the truth is the truth.

“The poor performance of the 92nd Division, the black unit under American command, also reinforced the growing official view that African Americans made poor combatants. Poorly trained and led, the 92nd Division faired about as well as white divisions suffering under similar handicaps during the Meuse-Argonne campaign. By comparison, the decorated regiments of the 93rd Division that fought under French command amassed an admirable combat record. One unit, the 369th Infantry Regiment, served for a record 191 days in the line, the longest of any American unit, white or black, during the war. As with the intelligence test results, however, army officials conveniently ignored any evidence that did not conform to the prevailing view about the value of black soldiers to the organization.”

Currently in upstate NY for an amazing event that is happening in my family. My sister is finally graduating West Point and becoming a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army.

My family has a history of LEO & military in the family, but no one in our family has become an officer. I tried the ROTC thing in college but it wasn't for me. Little did I know that my sister seeing me in uniform left an indelible mark on my sister and from the age of 4 she knew she wanted to go in the military.

Fast forward we are at the last days of celebration, ceremony, etc. Meeting the superintendent, some high level Generals, Majors, etc. It's an honor to be part of it.

The somber part is that our father isn't here to see her make those final steps. You probably saw my post last year about me losing my father, but we are here surrounded by love from family and everyone that helped her along the way.

I've been to the campus a few times but they opened a new museum to the public with some cool history of West Point as well as some firearms that were used across the world for certain conflicts amongst other interesting things.

I also have some other cool ass pics from the past few days. May share more.

Knowing what i know, i wish i would have applied myself and went to West Point. It's a great institution, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

...this is coming from an enlisted and going to officer.

Not going to say his family is filled with c00ns, but why do we have to respect his sister joining the military of this evil country? :patrice:
I mean I get it if you have no options but she is already proved she is capable of getting a degree. Why join? Do something else meaningful in your life.

That’s disrespectful bruh. You wouldn’t say that shyt to his face

It's bullshyt but whatever. It's not so much that our family is full of patriots but the military offers people opportunities.

The military offers many people opportunities and access had they not go in there. A lot of my family is deep south and aren't c00ns.

Getting into West Point is just as hard as getting into a fukking Ivy League. There's so much access for her post graduation.

Man don’t encourage this. Everything in the service is Eurocentric.
