@DoctorFishbones
Let's talk for a moment about why someone would want to murder the CEO of UnitedHealth
2/69
@PharmWoman
3/69
@DoctorFishbones
Everyone has got at least one nightmare story about their experience with our healthcare system and now they are all coming out at once
4/69
@IcedCoolyXIII
To get insurance to cover my kid’s blood glucose monitor, the insurance co wanted to see that she had poor blood glucose control, first. In other words, insurance would reward us if we took absolute shyt care of our kid. I will never shed one tear for a health insurance CEO.
5/69
@GenericPlebeian
I think there's a lot of deep resentment for Health Insurance companies. And I think most people will never understand why until they get sick, or someone else they care about gets sick.
A lot of underhanded stuff happens, and it has absolutely cost people their lives.
6/69
@SIGequityOPP
Same scandal as ACTH. My 8-month-old baby's medication was denied because they stated it cost $40,000 per vial, while the actual cost was only $40. We fought hard and spent hours on the phone daily. Luckily, we went to UCLA. Years later, a lawsuit revealed that doctors received kickbacks for this medication and that the pharmaceutical company overcharged by $40,000. I almost lost my child; he didn't smile for a whole month due to seizures. Screw all insurance companies.
7/69
@FlowersAreR3d
There are too many heart breaking stories.
It was just a matter of time before this happened.
8/69
@IhoPwaitress74
His wife seemed to be speculating that his killer was someone who had been denied care, which honestly made me have second thoughts about the wife.
But the killer certainly could have been someone denied care- UHC denials are legendary
[Quoted tweet]
You should see the comments on the r/nursing subreddit. Nurses hate UHC because they constantly deny care to our patients. The United Healthcare CEO is not being mourned, trust me.
9/69
@NurseGoodhart
Then Anthem has the guts to do this ...
10/69
@Bross52
yep. i have UHC and this is how it goes. I’ve had cdiff since february because i HAVE to take meds that my doctors know wont work and prove that they’ve failed before they give me the treatment that my doctors believe will work. this is my life.
same with countless others.
11/69
@DannyExplor1ng
UHC denied a patient three SGAs he was on. Was functioning very well, had a job, apartment, gf. Kept out of inpatient psych for three years. UHR decides that he doesn't need 3 SGAs and we must prove why. I fight with them, explaining it could send him back to the ER. 1/

Here you go ..

Why Breaking Bad wasn't set in Europe:
13/69
@thrleifnygaard
IMHO, ACA should have eliminated health insurance all together. They just couldn’t get the votes- they had to cave to the rich-ass insurance companies.
14/69
@StevenPWalsh
Maybe let's also ask why the medication is $10k cheaper if you get the manufacturer "discount" price.
15/69
@scottgordon24
Insurance companies are the lowest form of scum anyone can imagine. Pure evil people. They will cut you off if it saves them 2 dollars.
16/69
@homo_placidus
It’s beyond serious consideration whether murder is actually bad (it is bad) but the question you present is one our elected representatives absolutely must engage with
17/69
@thestarktruth
This is true.
18/69
@BillCallahan92
I imagine it’s an act of rage that doesn’t carry much depth.
19/69
@thethorny1
Not a justification, but can you understand the pain and suffering endured to cause this thought process @glennbeck ?
20/69
@davecraige
21/69
@Nankno07
My husband is a doctor, different specialty than this person but hates UHC for the same reason.
22/69
@DonsTruthMeter
23/69
@DonaldEBeaneJr
He happens to be her husband and she wants his life insurance? Just a guess.
24/69
@VERBAL_CHANCLA
And I’ve watched British and Canadian friends get denied medication my husband was allowed. Socialized medicine is screwed up and Obamacare screwed American insurance as well.
25/69
@RCragwall
@elonmusk @VivekGRamaswamy @DOGE One has to ask why insurance companies determine the care options and not the one who knows best. That ain't right. Blessings!
26/69
@jschripsema
@billybinion this is why dude
27/69
@YoNurd
This is people taking justice in their own hands because the justice department, fbi, corporations and those that are supposed to watch over them are not protecting the people. Justice.
28/69
@sunny051488
yup, fukk them all.
29/69
@CertMGR2016
@UHC

@Pwilldc
It certainly does not warrant this level of violence. But the healthcare system is really really really bad. It’s way way worse than most people realize. I had a patient who went to the hospital with neck pain, chest pain, arm pain. He went to the emergency room. He was in intensive care for several several days and he racked up about $250,000 bill. Because his diagnoses did not match due to the fact that he had several doctors while he was there, his claims were denied across the board. He has around $300,000 in his life savings. He’s around 60 years old. He told me that he doesn’t know what he’s going to do.
Health insurance companies do not build beautiful executive buildings and pay massive amounts of salaries because they aren’t making money. Although I am optimistic that under new leadership this will improve. It’s been like this for a really long time.
Lastly, if you can’t go to the hospital when you have neck, chest and arm pain, and you have insurance, when can you go?

@CryptoCitizen88
Ya and if you switch to their insurance AND they deny the medication you’ve been taking for decades. It can be lethal. Even going to a generic version may not work as well.
I take depakote DR and it’s 500 a month even with insurance because most insurance won’t cover it so I switched to generic due to insane costs. Generic caused seizures and my old insurance, I was able to get them to cover in necessity. Most insurance companies won’t and now I’m with UHC, they won’t cover.
33/69
@BenBryant2017
If everything was self pay, this wouldn’t happen
34/69
@CofSnz
I am sure that the CEO was murdered as revenge for his murdering someone’s child or wife by denying coverage. Health Insurance companies do not care at all about patients or their health. They only care about profit and shareholders. They will deny coverage all the time. I have had health insurance companies require that a child under age 12 take a nonFDA approved drug ( because the child was under 12) rather than a better drug that was FDA approved for a child under 12. At other times they have denied to authorize an effective drug for an 11 year old child just because they were 11 and not 12. Doctors hate prior authorizations for drugs and procedures. Health insurance companies love prior authorizations and patients are dying waiting for the prior authorization to be approved.
35/69
@penguin74us
To be clear, there is virtually zero chance that guy actually works in ped neuro.
36/69
@ATexanFirst
This is only a little screenshot of the horrid, unethical, inhumane things UHC has done.
37/69
@cjhazard
fukk HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANIES for denying treatments, putting investor profits over people, and for allowing their suppliers to price gouge ALL OF US.
38/69
@TheSnaag

@bishno65988
Why do you search for your fate by keeping your luck on your palm? Learn from the ocean that searches for stones to collide with.
40/69
@smclellanduk
whats your take on capital punishment ?
41/69
@dmathisroiet
I went through a year of this exact scenario and never once thought about the CEO of united healthcare. Murder is not justified
42/69
@kdon853
ACA made UHC
43/69
@cards_yanks
Yeah that’s a classic insurance tactic, self has experienced same…I really think they delay meds and treatments as a tactic of waiting the patients time out hoping they will croak
44/69
@MolerMark67134
It’s just not United healthcare that does that CIGNA does that as well. They’re a shyt company too.
45/69
@trinnas
I have serious issues with the medication restrictions used by some insurances. That does not mean I want their CEO to be shot dead much less want to shoot him myself. I am not a psychopath like that.
46/69
@WulfTheGh0st
Nancy Pelosi had that man murdered to protect herself.
47/69
@PaigeSully88
Enabled by the power the big pharma lobby has who under Biden’s watch created new categories for drugs like “non formulary” allowing for denial of coverage
48/69
@simpyblessedoma
Maybe go after the person who initiated all of these problems: Obama.
ACA was his baby.
Healthcare providers said it was
and you didn’t listen to us.
Put a lawyer in charge of this and this is what you get.
Bring it back to healthcare providers!
49/69
@NTXDrillers
Who gave the insurance companies all of that power? Anybody?
50/69
@0bgabo
Nobody will notice when insurance does their job properly. There will be no articles then. Just think about how many people would die if they didn’t exist.
51/69
@tuckerisonx
Healthcare might be awful in the country.
That still doesn't justify murdering a man in cold blood.
See how that works? Two wrongs don't make a right. Maybe mommy should have taught you that before you were allowed to glorify murder on the internet.
52/69
@AlcibiadesSurv
And its a false flag.
The bullet thing is smoke and mirrors.
this was a pro hit to shut him up.
53/69
@ScottSween12721
I mean - I think it was a trans person but with all these stories it could be anyone from a doctor to a parent or sibling/child….
So - guess we can stop looking
54/69
@313educator
We know why people hate insurance companies.
That is different than celebrating the murder of a man with a family who is a CEO of one of these companies, as if he’s the reason for these systemic failures.
I don’t know why many of you are too stupid to grasp this difference, but your idiocy sure is dangerous.
55/69
@LilAnnieLou
So I'm your mind murder is the answer to this? What the hell is wrong with you?
56/69
@dankmalee
You retards really wanna take credit for this, no it wasn’t one of you. It was a paid hit.
57/69
@missingplutotoo
I work in optometry and they routinely deny glaucoma procedures/medications automatically as "not medically necessary" even though the patient can go blind without proper care
58/69
@Iwishihaddogs
And then if you change insurance companies, the new company will make you do the WHOLE process over again
59/69
@TruthMelody88
I have epilepsy and this is horrifying.
60/69
@Politrix6
The revolution will definitely be televised
61/69
@NickNamerly
If it became a movement it would mean something.
62/69
@kamusundo
Insurance companies are publicly traded companies with the goal of maximizing profits. There is no way to meet their intended purpose of providing access to care while maximizing profits. We’re truly screwed.
63/69
@BenignVanilla
I was taking a medication this year with insurance, and help from the manufacturer...I had to stop when the insurance ran out because for part of the year, the med was nearly $70k. Someone decided that was too expensive.
64/69
@NMSthe1nternets
I worked in a pharmacy and I lived in a town that had a disproportionate amount of pharmaceutical representatives.
Those people are evil. That cannot be understated.
65/69
@analass666
It's far past time to educate people about the concept of social murder.
66/69
@BasedRedhead
My gut feeling is the shooter is the father or husband of someone who died due to coverage denial.
67/69
@amp8691
You honestly don’t even need a horror story to justify hate towards health insurance. My family has great insurance through my wife’s employer but we still get hit with denials, delays, etc. Usually getting resolved but it feels that they do it hoping you don’t fight it
68/69
@CallMe_Lucy_
And then every year they have to do it again bc UHC denies it when the copay/oop/donuthole
69/69
@TheRealRathole
I worked in a pharmacy and UHC has denied antibiotics before.
