Might cancel my Dallas trip in a couple weeks til the aviation fukkery dies down :dead:

Just canceled mine to Florida, if I can't drive, I'm not going. Greyhound and Coach buses may make a comeback :scusthov: with the fukkery going on. The last time I rode greyhound was undergrad, and megabus is not in Texas anymore.

Bro I was the king of greyhound lol. I can’t see doing that at this point. Having to take extra days off because you’re going to spend a whole day on the bus just to get to your destination :picard: Also they lost my bag the last time I rode and I literally had to buy new clothes when I got to my stop smh.

I already don’t like planes or flying and seeing all this crap ain’t making it better. Never had any issues riding Amtrak or driving :francis:

Bruh, it’s like humans have regressed in the last years.

shyts crumbling left and right.

The movies promised us flying cars:mjcry:
its the opposite. a plane catching any kind of fire or having difficulties mid-flight 20 or even 10 years ago was a death sentence lol... shyt, there was a stretch where cabins were depressurizing at high altitude a while back too

a rough stretch of travel and sensationalist coverage can make shyt seem way different than actually it is.

Does any foreign country have a high speed rail that travels a distance as long as Houston to NYC is? I don't know, I'm genuinely asking.

Houston and NYC are ridiculously far apart, I would assume that not even a HSR train would be able to make the train trip between Texas and NYC in a couple of hours and I would imagine it would require a transfer.

Distance: 1,417.18 mi (2,280.73 km)

Beijing-Guangzhou High-Speed Line, China

China’s Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed line, which opened in December 2012, is currently the world’s longest high-speed railway line with a total length of 2,298km. The line, also known as Jingguang HSR, has reduced the travel time between Beijing and Guangzhou to just eight hours, compared with the previous 22-hour journey.
