If you're not rich then you haven't accomplished shyt.

You have to take on debt to be well-off. Takes money to make money. If you're not a trustfund then you will have debt.

great way to look at life :snoop:

im into the amateur boxing scene. we had a guy that use to train in our gym occasionally that was an international level amateur boxer. real high class guy. he wasnt rich. yet hes won over 70 amateur boxing fights and multiple championships. but i guess he hasnt achieved anything :snoop:

I'm not sure what area you're in, but rake a leaf or 3 hundred. Help some (rich) old lady with her errands or just anything out the box where you can make some money on the side and under the table.

Some community colleges are really good. They offer all types of training/trades as well as college courses for the damn cheap! Look at getting your A+ certification if you're into computers, take a medical coding class & just learn everything you can about the Affordable Healthcare Act and start hitting up these small businesses as a consultant of some sort. The classes can be completed for less than $5k. For the certifications, you can learn on your own and pay for the test which will run you anywhere from $100-$500+.

fukk all those jobs on CareerBuilder, Monster, Dice etc because you and a million other motherfukkers are looking in the same place. Learn something, learn it well and go create you a job. You don't have to go into debt in order to get a college education and if you think that way you'll fukk yourself. You also don't need a college education to "be" something either but formal training of any magnitude is better than nothing and it's not as costly as a degree.

I'm assuming that you want to be a successful in life. If you want to be a middleclass, average nikka then it's very possible to be debt free. Continue.
The middle class are the ones that suffer most from debt so to say you need to take on debt to be successful is false to me because I see more people suffering from being in debt than benefiting from it.

I will say that taking on debt is a lot faster than saving up for what you need but it's also more risky. Imagine how better off people would be if they had cash flowed their education, realized their degree was pointless and ended up working in some shytty job barely making it vs having the save realization with 50k worth of debt over their heads?

Debt may be cool if you can manage it, but the people using it a technique for success are typically the ones that can't manage it.

he can turn pro when he wants and make money for his skills.

but i was just making a point.
Yeah, I know, I was just joking.

I'm the first to tell people that having money doesn't exactly mean you're successful and vice versa.

I don't disagree but nothing you said refuted any of my points.

@Poiter there are successful people that got there by not taking on debt. Dave Ramsey is one that comes to mind only because he's someone I listen to regularly. He built his wealth by first becoming debt free and then investing wisely over a number of years.

I downloaded one of his audiobooks. Haven't listened to it yet. But I heard it was good.
