This thread put me onto Mac Mall's second album, which I never heard before. Bumping this right now like :mjbey:



I have to cop this CD

This one is a fantastic album, production by DJ Quik and I think Battlecat gets in there on one of those tracks. So if you're a fan of the west coast sound, you have to check it out just on the strength of who the producers are; Quik and Battlecat are g-funk royalty

The issue I have with it is I can't stand AMG as a rapper. All that off-beat, off-key shyt. He can't pull that off, he's not Kokane. He just sounds shyt and to me this album is a disappointing waste of some serious heat served up by Quik

Pretty sure Mc ren dj "dj train" does some scratching on this album... that track homicide with the clint Eastwood sample has some of the best scratching u will ever hear on a record. Rip train.

NWA didn’t miss a beat or IceCube at all on nikkaz4Life and MC REN most definitely tore his azz on that album! IceCube wasn’t needed! 2X platinum no radio play! Shiddd u tell me?

MC Ren always been a great lyricist, but it's dre production that made the album so great. From 91 to 94 dre was something else with those beats

This thread is memory lane for me. Didn’t know so many people here was up on all these classic West Coast underground albums they never really made it out of Cali.




Tweety Bird Loc always had me dying laughing but I liked it. I looked at him as a West Coast Tim Dog. He wasn’t real good at rapping but the shyt he said was comical even though he was serious.



Who was that female he had on that song “My dikk is prejudice”. That shyt was fire and funny as fukk.

That was bloody Mary aka nini x aka the 1st rapper on "piru love" that you would have sworn was a dude... her voice is Barry white octave levels...
