i always felt Javale McGee was gon have a breakout year but he might not have it in em. he has the size and athleticism to at least consistently be in the running for defensive player of the year if his bball iq was better.

Dwight Howard (10+ years in the league and no post game)
Deandre Jordan (Same as Dwight, super athlete and no post game. If he had some post moves he'd be unstoppable)
Michael Carter-Williams (If he can get a consistent mid range game he could be a top guard in the league)
James Harden (Great scorer, but you can see when he's not into the game)
Derrick Rose (Knee injuries have made him hesitant to use his athleticism. I think he could still play at MVP level if he really wanted to.)
Carmelo Anthony (Great scorer, still hasn't taken his team to the next level, he'll score points but doesn't make his teammates better)
lolling at Carmelo nuh mek him team betta

This, he had elite tools but no desire to become a smarter basketball player.

One thing I notice with every guy mentioned in this thread is they either lack BBall IQ or work ethic.

I agree with Derrick Williams. I really thought he'd be a star based on his talent. But...he just doesn't approach pro basketball professionally.

No reason he shouldn't be looked at like Rudy Gobert is. He has the ability and athleticism to be the best defensive big man in the league. But he lacks in motor and want to on the court. It's a shame that some guys are born with all the gifts except in the mental department.
