What happened?

I was gonna watch the finale just to see how it ended but fukk that just go ahead and spoil it for me breh

Joe sacrificed himself to bring the dome down, originally was gonna be Norrie but Joe was simping. After the dome came down Military took everyone in town, Big Jim killed Junior with a knife, breh was too far gone Big Jim/Julia/Barbie got interrogated by the Military and the government didn't want them to talk about the Aliens/kinship, but to say it was a bad Xaion experiment gone wrong.

Big Jim doesn't agree neither does Barbie.

Time jump to a year later wheelchair breh and that female Xaion employee that came into the dome still have government jobs, Barbie and Juila go on a cross county motorcycle trip. breh... this nikka Big Jim became a congressman Norrie joined the military, Joe was still alive in some secret government lab

Big Jim/Juila/Barbie and two other character find out the Queen is still alive even though Barbie killed her they seen her a security camera in some random state, little kids find the egg, Queen is aware of it, pretending to be a babysitter... show ends.... on a cliffhanger

The writers breathed a collective sigh of relief that it was cancelled and they would never have to find a satisfying explanation for their inconsistent mythology

Oh, and it turns out the dome was a complete waste of time that changed nothing. The aliens have now found another egg and will start all over with their plan to do something

Nah, this show veered waaaay off from King's novel.

The book ending wasn't great but the characterization made it worthwhile . The show sounds terrible

Its not really clear what the hell was going on. Aliens were involved, thats the only thing for sure. It went so far off the rails and nothing made sense logically or followed the mythology that was set up from the start. It made the ending of Lost look like Breaking Bad

Just stick to the book story. The dome was placed by aliens and was sort of a "human ant farm." There is no way to summarize the show because nothing had a point or made any sense.
