His times over the last 2 seasons would say otherwise.

:snoop: Alright man. I know this is The Coli where everybody's an expert and nikkas have an infactuation with arguing over the smallest of things. I'm a Track and Field head and I've seen damn near every race of Usain's since '08; and also saw a special on this new weight-lifting regime he was on where they acknowledged that he had put on some weight. They originally wanted to put him back in the 400m and try him out in the long jump, so they thought he needed more durability. But whatever.......
No you're not - because you wouldn't have put -"Blake is his training partner and knows all his secrets" and "his strength program, added weight - causing loss in step" as reasons to why he lost the race.

He lost the race, simply on his start, he wasn't able to gain momentum/pull-in Blake in time.

And for your information, he lost 10lbs last year through his strength/conditioning program.

:rudy: You do know his weight has fluctuated throughout his career? And I'm not talking about this particular race, I'm talking about since the World Championships in '09. He's been from anywhere between 190 and 205. And when he hurt his achilles back in 2010, his "trainers" partly blamed that on trying to revamp his strength/conditoning program, although Bolt brushed it off and said he was "slacking off" and not fully fit.

:pachaha:at you trying to break down start mechanics to a former Big Ten 60m runner. I already mentioned his start so stop :troll:. You do know that his start has never been his strong point, but his mid-race acceleration and top-end speed have always been superior? That's why he's better at the 200m (although some believe his best event would be the 400m).

:rudy:And you really don't think who you train with matters? Why did Allyson Felix use to have far superior times to Jenebah Tarmoh, but now they're running nearly identical in the 100m and 200m? Who you train with is very important, not just form a physical standpoint, but from a psychological one. That's why top sprinters are reluctant to have up-and-comers train with them. I guarantee Blake wouldn't have improved so much if he wasn't running next to Bolt every day.

None of this helps your argument. At all.

If you already mentioned his starts, there was no need to mention his gain in weight through his strength/conditioning program; resulting in a loss of step, as a reason to why he hasn't been performing up to par. Because he hasn't lost a step. Lack of hunger + lack of focus are the reasons to why he hasn't performed to the best of his abilities.

I never said who he trains with doesn't matter, it's just that you said "he knows all of Bolt's secrets now" like it has real significance. The only real benefit he'll get from training with Bolt is through sub workouts + motivation; all these secrets you speak of are non-existent factors. Blake's progress and improvement is more down to Mills(+ C coaches) than Bolt. Bolt wasn't the one who fine tuned Blake's god-given talent nor did he help him mechanically either. With or without the existence of a Bolt-caliber sprinter, we'd still be talk'n bout Blake today.

I laugh at Jamaicans in America the cheer for the USA basketball team but don't cheer for their own basketball team like they do Usain Bolt. They are nothing but some front runners fans. If they basketball team was any good, they would be talking shyt about the USA basketball team like they now talk shyt about USA track.

:lolbron::heh::flabbynsick::deadrose: @ their basketball team.

Are you serious? you are comparing an island to a country that is 100x the size and has the most prestigious basketball league in the world? C'mon no props for that, what is crazy is how a island (sprint factory of the world) can produce world class athletes over this country. I am not trying to create a war on this thing, but come on lets get real, just like I gave the NBA its props for having the best players, there is no need to downplay another nation. Stop with America we are the best mentality...NBA is highly watched in Jamaica but it is not a national sport, and there isnt even an infratructure for a good league.
