This is an interesting point. I agree with you - people make mistakes in their past and when people move on/show maturity we shouldn't bring them down by saying "but you did xyz ten years ago" if they've corrected their path. But Tariq's past is his present. He was a hustler selling bullshyt back then, and he's a hustler selling bullshyt now. Is he outright stealing from people like Umar? No. But it is clear to me that he is a self promoting hustler pimping pro black shyt to an audience willing to buy his faux militant DVDs and products.
