I love how everyone take jerrys and tims words and just run with it.

why didnt they say anything before ? niners make it and suddenly they want to talk about this shyt

this situation is stupid either way. if callahan was coaching out of his ass tampa bay wouldve won. raiders were a passing team and that tampa team was the best pass defending team ever. raiders ran 11 times for 19 yards in the superbowl.
they should let it go.
its over.
it was over before they took the field.
those type of defenses dont lose

what was the point of sabotaging anything when the bucs were finna crush them anyway no matter what they did ?

I remember shortly after that Super Bowl Jerry saying something about. He said something to the effect that the weekend before the game Callahan called a meeting in which he discussed changing the entire game plan.

why didnt they say anything before?

Tim Brown has been sayin this for years, dawg.

Anyway....I don't even care if he did or didn't, Raiders wasn't my team. But I find it easy to believe just based off of what I know about this a$$hole.

He's gonna sue them for defamation of character and one of the people saying it never happened was the 2002 MVP QB of the Oakland Raiders, Rich Gannon.

Pretty much, Callahan is saying......prove it.

Yall running with rumors and are just believing what you want, which is ok.

Rice, Brown, Woodson says it happened....Rominowski, Gannon, Crockett, and Kennedy says it didnt.

All I know is this:

Uh, in order to successfully sue someone for defamation, you have to be able to legally prove they're lying and that they know they're lying. He won't do anything.

dude even if he did....changing the gameplan!=sabotage. gameplan is how you approach the game and is dynamical in most cases. its not like they telegraphed plays or anything.

I can believe callahan wanted to run the ball but at the end pussied out and went with what worked so he wont be blamed in likely case of blowout. thats believable. him doing shyt to lose on purpose is not believable.

its just salty players trying to convince themselves they had a chance that game when they didnt. charlie garners longest run of the day was 4 yards.

easiest way is to blame a coach to cover up that you had 1 reception for 9 yards (tim) in the biggest game of your career

So... That wasn't my point and your short rant kinda fell on deaf ears. I was just saying that this isn't the first time it's been brought up like most people think. It's been said before. Not sure why it's getting the attention it's getting right now.

Seriously tho, to say dude threw the super bowl is ridiculous. You can state other stuff he was an idiot and Barrett Robbins pre game bender may have been a direct cause to the change in gameplan, etc. But to say he threw the super bowl is idiotic and they deserve to face a lawsuit over this.

it makes zero sense. they explain the motive as "he hated the raiders" :mindblown:
I dont even...
you bypass a chance for your name to be etched in history and earn a huge payday for...a chance to stick it to the team you dont like ? why didnt you do it earlier in the year tho ? why throw a superbowl and not the first playoff game ? why no throw the regular season ?

its the stupidest thing I have read since the Manti Te'o statements. It makes NO SENSE! If Callahan wins the super bowl, he will always have a NFL head coaching job or working for the national football media if he wants it. Its millions of dollars in his coffers and his life is changed forever. Brian Billick is still living off winning the Super Bowl.

It makes no fukking sense for him to purposefully lose the game. Brown, Rice, and whoever else is cosigning are just bitter they lost.

The Fullback on that team who use to work for ESPN said he's been saying it for years...and he was waiting for it to actually grow some legs. Why not believe it. Changing a game plan on Friday before the Super Bowl is pretty suspect. If I was on the team, I would think the same thing.

Isnt that exactly what Tim and Jerry said, they abandoned the run game play and switched it to dropping Gannon 60 times to throw against a defense that is calling your plays and checks out. Why do you think there were 3 pick sixes? Cuz the coach didnt change any of the terminology from when the guy on the other side was the HNIC.

So thank you for expanding on the GOAT's cosign of Tim Brown's opinion that the mother uncle wasnt jack shyt.
