He got finished within the allotted time for the fight. The fight was over but he was OUT, unable to respond or intelligently defend himself, because of what transpired within that allotted time.

If breh got kayoed at 4:59 or 5:00 of the 3rd they would’ve done the same thing. You can’t steal that time from a fighter. Doesn’t matter if he was up on the scorecards he got FINISHED and that is not debatable.

Bisping got dropped but was still responsive. Herb, who was the ref, deliberately stated he did not stop the fight, Silva just decided to walk off and celebrated. Merab was OUT.

A better case for what you’re talking about is Leben got choked out in a fight and no one noticed.
