I'm surprised by what I was hearing from the commentators being former fighters.

Gane did exactly what he needed to do against a dangerous (#2 ranked) opponent. He effectively neutralized a very offensive fighter and forced him to fight from a defensive stance. Gane's speed had Rozenstruik flustered and cautious. He basically did what Adesanya does to opponents. You jump in, then you get picked apart with counters. You try and counter, and then you get picked apart at range.

I honestly see him being a champion at heavyweight very soon. He has a speed advantage over everyone at heavyweight from what I can see (save Stipe who he does have better footwork and footspeed than). He is very strong and won't be easy to control, plus he can actually submit people on the ground; not to mention that he is an intelligent fighter.
