A fight like this is a perfect example of the difficulty in a ref/corner stopping an MMA fight compared to boxing. In MMA the threat of a flash KO/Sub is always there so you want to give the fighter a chance whereas in boxing if a guy has a lead after say 8 rounds you know the fights done, makes it easier to throw in the towel/call the fight
