Lewis was severely underestimated here. I knew going in Curtis needed 25 minutes to secure a win but Derrick only needed a moment. He has good takedown defense and ground, it was only ever dc who was able to use wrestling on him.

Lewis legs kept slipping in a weird way I know he had surgery before on them knees

i'm like how.Eh I don’t blame Herb that much. You can’t be too close to giant guys swinging the way these guys were. You can hear Herb yell STOP before Lewis lands the first punch on the ground so Herb def wanted to stop it right there but Lewis was determined to get those blows. It’s like the Bispring /Hendo finish, that’s not the refs fault.

I remember years back when refs would stop fights early or on time and the fighters would recover then get up and start protesting the stoppage then the crowd would boo and Dana would throw refs under the bus. If I was a ref I'd let them get their shyt pushed in real good so nobody can bytch about an early stoppage. Don't blame Herb
