Amazing win for Aljo. Cejudo took too much time off. Aljimain fought like a true champion. Sucks how the UFC doesn't give him the respect he deserves. UFC needs stars right now they should put there propaganda machine behind him. He punked o malley like it was nothing

Realistically Dom could have 5+ consecutive defenses had his right leg, left leg, left leg, groin and planters fasciitis not put him on the bench for 8 years.

I mean impressive is relative. If Aljo did what no one else did in his weight class, then it's a notable accomplishment. Glad they did mention it.
When I heard that Stipe defended the HW title 3 times I used to because I was so spoiled off GSP, Anderson and Bones defending titles like minimum 5 times. But since no HW did what Stipe did before, I get it.

there is nothing spectacular about aljo

dude can't even process his own reach advantage. any other fighter ignoring a jab and jumping straight into bodylocks the whole night against an essentially motionless opponent and the dialogue is immediately different. this was a ranked fight struggle match.

UFC doesn't need stars, they get paid enough money from ESPN per PPV event that they are net positive before the fight card goes live.
UFC is fine with fighters not being stars if that keeps salaries low.
Also, going by Sherdog, Aljo isn't well liked, it'd be a waste of money IMO.
Khamzat is the guy they need to push.
