like I said in his last fight, Gane is the greatest phenom to his heavyweight division.

he's like the final form of Cane Valasquez(minus the punching power, but he stopped Lewis, how many can say that?)

it's unfortunate because I've been rooting for Francis for a few years and and he's only gonna defend the belt once(if the Jones fight happens) but then after that, it's Gane era :sadcam:

His next fight is Gane. Kind of stupid of the UFC to make this Francis' first title fight, it could definitely go wrong and Gane is NOT marketable at all.

Bummed Francis didn't do anything like Gane vs Lewis in their first fight. Guess that rematch isn't happening.

Dana's an idiot for not doing the rematch.

Damn I’m mad I missed this fight, but I knew Lewis wasn’t gonna get this one. I haven’t seen any Ganes fights, can’t wait to watch when I get a chance

Jon Jones has not proved himself at heavyweight. His last couple fights were against a light heavyweight who is on a losing streak and a blown up middleweight and he barely won those fights.

Gane is undefeated at heavyweight in kickboxing and mma. He is bigger, stronger, has better stand up and is a natural heavyweight. Go look at footage of Jon Jones training at heavyweight. He would not be able to match the speed of Gane. There's a reason he's not scheduled for a fight yet in this division.
Jones is naturally lighter so speed will in this case likely be the one place - besides being a generational talent and having way more experience as a champion and dealing with pressure - where he clearly will have an advantage.

Gane is COMPLETE. That is clear.

I do not think it’s fair to wipe out all of Jones’ accomplishments, but you’re right: Gane is a natural Heavyweight, and who carries natural heavyweight strength.

We all know Jones is having to do serious effort to get to be considered a heavyweight, so even then, he’ll be considerably lighter. Now Gane was lighter today, but Lewis was 2/10 in athleticism today. Gane is a real athelete. So it wasn’t a disadvantage at all. With Jones, I think it would be a disadvantage.

:sas2: I told y'all he was the equivalent of d wilder. And I'm a fan of both. Lewis both and raised in the n.o. but I been following gane and if I was a betting man I would've won a few stacks. The blueprint is there to beat Lewis.
As far as gane v Jones, honestly it depends on which Jones we get but I think Jones ground game will be too much

Gane got Still Tippin’ booed, for that reason and that reason alone I’m gonna boo him when he fights Francis :angry::angry:

Seriously tho Dude is so fluid and calm out there, it’s gonna take a mighty effort to get him outta there.

Didn’t even look like he was in a fight with a super dangerous Derrick Lewis, had the ease of a sparring session going

Went to another man’s hometown, took his culture, and then whooped his ass :mjlol:

I don’t know, Gane showed he has some personality in the lead up to this fight. Him trolling the fans by coming out to Still Tippin’, wearing DJ Screw shirts all week, and chilling at Screwed Up Tapes & Records was some true scumbag s#it. If he brings that kind of energy before every fight he could be a draw.

Jones couldn't wrestle and outgrapple Reyes but he's gonna be able to wrestle the naturally bigger and stonger Gane? Its 2021 Jones's wrestling is not what it was when he was younger.

Nah he's not trollin. Gane is always showing love to american black culture, hes a real screwhead, very humble dude. But yeah you're right, it was hilarous when the fans thought it was lewis instead of him.

As far as Derrick Lewis. I've said years ago Lewis is lazy, never evolved, and when he gets into trouble he quits. He admits he never does cardio and he looks for that right hand only. Hes sorta like Deonte Wilder.

Francis has more in the tool shed than lewis and he can cut off the ring and Gane will be forced to really exchange and that will be problematic.

Let's not get too ahead of ourselves, he fought Derrick Lewis. Remember what DC did to Lewis, treated him like a child.

For me it’s that with these top heavyweights (Lewis up to Francis) is even when they miss and clip each other you can see how much power they have like we’ve seen them KO people cold off of hits that weren’t even loaded up especially coming off clinches which Jones loves to do.

Jones has the height advantage but his legs and tiny calf muscles may be a disadvantage but Jones is the Goat he has been seriously training and this is him like two weeks ago.

The casual fan wants a highlight reel knockout monster with a scary physique. Francis fits the bill. Gane picks the opponent apart.

If I was Francis… I’d probably duck the Gane fight and get a successful title defense or 2 :damn:
