The Truth
I could tell the black dude won when I saw everyone complaining and crying about it being “boring”:mjlol:

This what yall wanted watching MMA, right? Technical “ chess playing” grappling mixed in with a few kicks and takedowns... right?

Nah, most MMA “fans” want a bar fight in a ring :mjlol:. A bunch of dudes hitting each other until one passes out... sounds so inefficient for a fight career.

at the end of the day the burden on figuring out how to beat the champion was on Jorge. I voted for jorge too and overall he faired better than I thought he would, but yea you run this fight back 10 times usman wins 9 in the same fashion

The problem for Usman is this is the UFC and belts don't matter, it's about entertainment for the boss so he might end up being a long serving champ who doesn't make any money.:yeshrug:
That is my number one pet peeve with the UFC and the fact that dumb ass BMF belt was created. Dana wants to reward heart and not actual outcome of fights.

I will say the backhanded compliments of congrats Usman but Jorge took the fight in 6 days and the claims of Usman is a boring fighter makes you stop and think the people who watch combat sports .

Masvidal did take the fight with 6 days notice and was the underdog but the sentiments for some reason seemed to be he was going to get Usman the fukk out here. The really believe he was the fukking UFC Hardcore Champion (I said what I said don’t correct me). If the fight went the other waY and Masvidal had won he would of been the greatest fighter ever in people eyes . Bet big loss big.

Now about it being boring ,Usman wasn’t in there alone . Scarface didn’t know what to do with him. They thought this was going to be another Nate Diaz situation. Funny to see people not realize you can stomp in a match. Brilliant display of strategy by Usman.

They actually do matter for the champions, yea there are exceptions like McGregor who will still get paid whether he has a belt or not but champs make a hell of a lot more money than guys just fighting in the top 10.

He fought Masvidal the same way DC fought Anderson Silva on short notice.
hated DC for doing that shyt too, damn near threw my beer at the bar. the whole bar was pissed.

i aint like some of these nikkas, ADOS champ do that shyt, I'm not supporting that nonsense no matter what. imagine paying $80 for a hug match. that was not wrestling, there was no attempt for a takedown. he would throw one shot to the body and go to hugging and foot stomping. NONSENSE.

The 1 thing about some of these fights today, it's great that some of these fighters outside the ring are nice ppl have strong following. But sometimes u need to be a true ass hole jerk and have that killer instinct to really wanna hurt n murk sum1 in that ring.

This ain't jus a sparring match, this ain't jus a wrestling meet where better person wins. What makes the difference sometimes is the slight rick in ur head wanting to hurt sum1 and finish em and I find a lot of fighters jn thus new era lack that.

Im not saying they are not better than previous Gen fighters or lack skills but that mental component to be a physco n not care to put ur self in bad position jus so u can hurt someone is missing. And that's why we getting so many decisions and closer fights compared to past.

But also this same physco side is why alot of our old famed fighters now r all CTE victims and can barely talk and face disfiguresd and body broken down. So it goes both ways I guess.
They dap each other up to much before and after every round but they seem to still beat the shyt out of each other

For all the love Aldo was showing Yan still gave him that work

It was a highly technical fight that Masvidal had no answer for.

And usman was preparing for another opponent. Masvidal just didn't have the components.

Masvidal is good at defense and he can take punishment so he didn't break but he was definately broken

Awwww man the double leg where mas tried to go back to the cage and Usman pulled him and cut the angle. Beautiful

Masvidal was a new born baby out there.

Had him balled up with his knees over his head.

that was not a highly technical fight wtf lol. the last 2 rounds Usman displayed great wrestling with those takedowns.....but even then, the second half of those rounds....back to hugging. they should give the fighter 15 seconds to attempt an offense, if none, break it up. if they do it three times in a row, yellow card (or deduct point) like in the pride days. that was stalling. no if buts. its a wrestling technique. the equivalent of females grabbing hair and locking up.

on the feet masvidal was tooling the shyt out of him in the first. boy got shook and locked it up. Usman dont fight like that, Usman against Woodley was dominant, takedowns up the ass and gnp'd the hell out that boy. why he aint do that against mas if mas wasnt tooling him up and snuffing his takedowns the first 3 rounds?

last 2 he got those in because mas was fading, lack of training. how can anyone give usman respect for that performance. that was atrocious. imagine paying $80 for stalling. :mjtf:

Maga masvidal boys in here mad :umad:
I don't understand this hate for Usman. Welterweight was never known anything but a defensive specialist division with a lot of extreme weight cutters playing way above their cut. We had a short time where we had Robbie Lawler throwing hands and taking years off his life. Outside of that, it's getting grapplefukked for 5 rounds by dude that probably got 10 or 20 poounds on you with a wrestling/grappling pedigree.

Usman was just so cerebral and dominant.

Its always the same with every dominant black champion in every combat sport. Its either the figher is "boring" or the fighter is a "ducker" for not fighting some random opponent, real or imagined. Jon Jones said it best
