congrats to yan. beating a legend in a tough fight and becoming champ at 27. gotta hand it to him. 
and as late as that stoppage was, i've seen a lot worse. i don't know what the fukk these refs are seeing sometimes.

I'm sick of these braindead neanderthal refs parroting "FiGhT bAcK" like brain dead muppets while the fighter is doing nothing but sitting still and clearly not going to do anything to help themselves. You should be held liable for assault and bodily harm for allowing a disgrace like that to happen in front of your eyes when it is your literal ONLY job to stop it. 
Poor Aldo; man never had the best gas tank even in his prime. And now at 33 and after the biggest weight cut he's ever had it's surprising he even had 3 good rounds throwing that hard. Was a near perfectly even match until younger legs took over. Congrats to Yan

Maybe refs should just stop the fight when they think it's time for the fight to be stopped.
Yelling at a fighter to defend just causes them to cover up a lil harder, or to try a flimsy scramble. It doesnt improve their position, but now the ref thinks hey hes trying to defend himself.
Meanwhile the fighter is still taking unnecessary punishment and the fight should have been stopped 20 punches ago.
