My Thoughts
on paper this should be an easy win for Usman. He’s a bad matchup for Jorge and his penchant for inactivity/getting pressured. But has Usman faced a well rounded fighter like Mas? And Usman while better is still rudimentary on the feet. I’m going with Usman UD but wouldn’t be surprised by an upset
I don’t like everything about the 145 bout. Max seems totally uninterested and the ufc/Volk wants this more than him. His training situation is weird af. Plus Volk just seems to have his number. He’s not spectacular but just an extremely sound fundamental fighter. His leg kicks are unpredictable and stopped Max from building off his jab for the majority of their last fight. Then when Max stepped forward with Combos/body shots the left was there to counter with as he circled away. Could be more of the same
Aldo didn’t look good against Moraes. He looked even more plodding and slow. Plus those TD Marlon landed where he kinda just bolo tossed aldo into the fence was concerning. But he can still win this. It’s a much better matchup than Cejudo. Yan is good but he has a tendency to get reckless leading which opened him up to get hit. I mean old ass Faber had moments in there fight. If he eats those a Aldo shots he could be done. But at the end of the day, the speed and crisp boxing of Yan will wear Aldo down
The rose/Andrade fight is a toss up. Rose is better everywhere but she slows down when pressured. That’s how Andrade was able to get in with the body shots/dropping her on her head
Ribas is better than Paige.
Don’t sleep on EZD vs Salikhov fight.
