I think Francis does have a ground game but the problem is it's BJJ based

Usually when BJJ dudes fight Wrestlers they end up getting smothered just like this unless the BJJ dude can pull out a sub. (see Silva vs sonnen 1)

I don't think people are giving Miocic enough credit.

You don't hold down a human megazord like that for 4 1/2 rounds and just dance around the ring. Draining his stamina is the only reason his wig didn't pop right off even late into the 4th.

I'm not denying Miocic did his thing out there, but clearly dude was just as gassed as Gannou and kept spamming takedowns like it's Xbox Live. Plus, dude was gassed as all hell within the first round. While Miocic did his thing to stop Gannou from trying to swing, both dudes looked like shyt in the octagon.

He is raw. He started training 5 years ago and there's stories of him skipping his bjj and wrestling classes from his head coach because he just wanted to box. He needs to drop some weight and train more bjj and wrestling

Trying to go over the top to finish fights that you've clearly won is how champs lose belts I still feel that Herb could've stopped the fight multiple times because Francis just went completely inactive and stopped defending himself.

Boxing matches get ended on that all the time and it wouldn't have been absurd at all here either.

I'm not really gonna say that Miocic shouldn't have been tired after clamping top level athlete in the ring who also had 20+ pounds on him...
