shyt's looking nice, let's hope fewer than 50% of them get injured/suspended this time

Rashad Evans should move up to HW and fight Frank Mir, whoever loses they should set up a barber chair and cut their flat top right then and there :flabbynsick:
I don't think Rashad is flabby and sick in terms of athleticism...He is just scared to fight...He spoke about it...

How do y'all feel about Eddie's win over RDA? I actually think the stoppage was bizarre, like even though RDA was dazed he was still standing and trying his best to defend himself. I never quite understood that stoppage :patrice:

Live I thought it was good stoppage, and after watching it back it was definitely the right call in my view..

RDA took a good two minutes of vicious punishment and was a walking punching bag before Herb stepped in. He was basically out of it after Eddie's first barrage. I knew it was over for RDA when Eddie missed the flying knee, RDA got top positioning, and Eddie immediately got back to his feet and landed a takedown of his own. His heart was willing, but the fact that RDA didn't even protest the stoppage shows how badly he was hurt.

fixed....will the reach advantage be a factor in the Eddie & Conor fight? Conor looks huge next to him

not surprising to me. let's be real and anyone else will agree, connor has always been a huge featherweight. it's clear as day that he could have been fighting at lightweight from the jump.

lowkey, alvarez resume is underrated though. alvarez aint the most flashy fighter but he gets the job done.

pettis
melendez
chandler
dos anjos

i've changed my mind about this fight, i'm totally thinking alvarez takes this.

evans need to retire :camby:

Looking at 2 fighters with clothes on is very deceptive. Conor is taller, but Eddie is wider. Overall, I would say Eddie is the bigger fighter. According to Wonderboy (who has trained with him), Eddie is 180lbs 6 weeks out of UFC 205. And that's an in shape Eddie. Dude is ripped.

:patrice: Alvarez fans, can any of you explain how Eddie wins this?

Eddie can mix it up (clinching, TDs, striking, etc.) and take the decision victory. Similar to GSP. Or he can strictly use his grappling to grind out Conor. Eddie also has the power to finish McGregor (Conor still holds the edge in this category). Alvarez is the better overall fighter, although Conor is the better striker (Eddie is a good striker in his own right). Eddie has better cardio and is the stronger fighter. The big issue with Eddie is that he has a tendency to get hurt in his fights. This is a bad mix against somebody like Conor, who has power and great finishing ability. On the flip side, Eddie has great recovery.

I'm picking Eddie to win. But Conor can take it as well. I favor Eddie 60-40 in this fight.

:ehh: Fair assessment, but Eddie can't stand for too long with Conor or he'll get knocked out. I have Conor winning in the third round by TKO, but it should be a great fight.

Eddie just needs to smother Conor just like he did Pettis. He also needs to kick the hell out of Conor's lead leg especially when Conor starts countering over the top with his left because when Conor starts to feel comfortable he plants and has a wider strike stance. One thing Eddie can't do is directly stand in front of Conor too long. He needs to be careful on how he moves around Conor if he fails to complete a takedown because depending on how fresh Conor is he will try to make Eddie pay with punches to his face when Eddie is backing up.

I feel at 155 between RDA and Eddie both have the style to beat Conor. Khabib has the grapple game on lock to beat Conor his striking tho not so much...
