I remember there being a rumor floating around that Ubisoft took some sort of funding deal from Singapore for this game, and the release was the gaming equivalent of an artist putting out a bullshyt greatest hits or b sides collection to close out their contract.

Judging by how half assed the game has looked, I'm inclined to believe it.
