You know what I hate about Jim Sterling, his prattling on about absolute bollocks before getting to the point. It took half the video to see what Ubisoft Santiago actually did.

I thought it would be the fact that he’s a flabby 50 year old dressing up in steampunk and crying about gaming all day. This shyt is weak sauce btw

Huh? :dahell:

This post made me dizzy
:dahell:

That's the story in farcry 5.

A bunch of crazy militias take over hope county under the belief that the world is about to end. They are strongly modeled after the alt right in real life and at the end of the game its shown that they were right because world war 3 begins.

Even the main antagonist looks like some neo nazi cac with a man bun, and the game portrays him as some jesus like figure.

- He rambles entirely too much.
- He's still on point about Ubisoft's playacting.
- If you think a company run by moneyed French people isn't going to inevitably go political, you are wide asleep.

Weren’t some staffers calling Boyega a monkey when the star wars trailer came out?
good look i didnt even know about this

Ubisoft Family Accused of Mishandling Sexual Misconduct Claims

Allegations of harassment and sexism extended far beyond Hascoët and his subordinates. In 2015 a group of staff in Sofia, Bulgaria, were watching a trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens featuring the actor John Boyega, who’s Black. According to Fey Vercuiel, a former designer on the team: “People just collectively went, ‘Hey, look, it’s a monkey.’” In San Francisco, Dawn Le was instructed by her manager to smile more and was later told she would be fired from her job as a purchasing specialist if her attitude didn’t improve, she says. Each woman reported the incidents to HR, and their claims were dismissed without action. “You complain about something, it just gets swept under the rug,” Vercuiel says.

Yeah this video could've def been done in half the length lol. Almost like he cares more about his grudge than the supposed reason for the video. Which he more than likely does or he would've spent more time on it and less time talking about shyt that doesn't matter with weird images.

I just guess I never paid attention enough to pick up on it, even as an employee there. I don't think it's bad to use real world circumstances and create relatable experiences from it, but when you line up the themes from multiple titles like he did, yeah it's there.

I didn't feel the most welcome working there anyway so I'm far from shocked.
