Is an "own goal" FG possible?
I was just thinking about this. Scoring a goal for their other team is possible in hockey or soccer. I guess it's technically possible in basketball but unlikely. It's impossible in baseball because the teams take turns batting. Apparently, in rugby, own goals are technically possible if you kick through the wrong goalposts.
A pick-six is kinda like an own goal but the other team is still scoring it. Obviously, in football, you can't score a TD for the other team -- even if you run into the wrong endzone and toss the ball out of bounds like Jim Marshall did that one time, it's just a safety. Under NFL rules, could someone potentially score a FG for the other team by kicking through the wrong goalposts?
