see, this is where he gets caught lying like he has in the past

yea, Deck got pushed back by Loud. they both did, thats a Steve Rifkind thing. he throws Masta Killa in there, who never had an official solo deal until Nature Sounds in like 02. he didnt suffer, he wasnt being held back, he has always maintained he was cool playing his role until No Said Date came out

idk why Deck got pushed back, ive always maintained he should have dropped in late 97 and had album #2 ready for 99 or 2000. Loud fukked that up, idk how you market a U God solo but he got a bag for it so idk why hes always so salty

Ugod calling them wack cuz if he and deck got the resources and time they got, things mighta been different. Plus i like those groups but lets not pretend every member was wutang quality. Each had a wu quality star and some decent to straight horrible rappers.

If im ugod in 97 after wu forever where im def dropping quality verses (top 3 imo) and i see islord and 9th prince getting multiple releases before me im mad too. Priest has rza put him on and he leaves right after yet he gets solo and group album with dope production because its a check in rzas pocket from the labels.

Ugod gets what rza gave him on his album... wutang released project.. deck couldnt even get rza to mix his shyt.. i get it

Datz gangsta and pleasure or pain are my ish. Album needed a year in the oven. It was the last wu solo of 99.. one of like 8 and the worst yet.. mind you he also on the supreme clientele single a MONTHS later... more care could have went in. It was not a well thought out manuever.

:wow:

I feel like I'm the only person on earth that actually enjoyed U-God's debut album. It was some hard ass shyt on there:

Edit: ok I just skimmed the album again and yeah it was trash

:mjlol:

His debut was dope, not classic but had some good songs.

Hell Razah ate him on his own shyt twice.

RZA is a smart business man. U God has a point but business wise, the releases were in line with what the fans wanted. If I had my way I would’ve wanted GZA to be first solo release but in went in order of the most marketable/popular members.

sn: not a u god fan but I went back and listened to Venom and it’s not bad.

the executive producer for Sunz of Man-Last Shall Be First was Sunz of Man. they tried to put that out in 95, i understand the riff with Killarmy, they did get favortism because 9th is RZA's brother. Sunz was a self-made group that got hosed by the record industry
Prolly referring to the initial run when they were wutang records artists id think? Soldiers of darkness era sunz and killarmy when rza started putting time into them. Im sure rza still got his check.

Cant really get mad at guys putting in work. I think uey just wanted bis time with rza like everyone else got and rza gave him a bag of money instead.

Being the 2nd/3rd weakest member of the wutang is still like being a top caliber rapper but you can see in his demeanor hes not that type of guy to be ok with people judging him negativley.. too angry to have people doubt him.

Im sticking with him having top 3 best verses on wu forever tho. Supreme clientele before SC.

nah i think hes referring to 97-99

hes had other brushes with Wu Affiliates, he told Bronze that hes not Wu to him and to keep his beats. wouldnt pay True Master once he didnt have a Loud Records budget

its pretty clear he cares about himself first, and the other 8 in some order. and thats fine, but when its his budget and his nickel hes pretty damn cheap himself. all of his 'Hillside Scramblers' said he took all the money from that project

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Wu started to fall off after Wu-Tang Forever.

The music industry started to change. Not to mention RZA lost a lot of beats...

----‐---------

Solo albums for each Wu-Tang member were recorded and slated for release not long after their iconic debut when the unthinkable happened. A flood struck RZA’s basement studio, wiping out countless hours of material.

“When the first Wu album came out, we had all the other albums ready,” RZA “I had the shyt with everybody’s names on it, and everybody had at least 15 beats in their section.”

“I lost 300 beats in the flood,” RZA “All that got washed up.” (Editor’s note: It appears there were two foods, one before Tical and one after Cuban Linx.)

As a result, many group members were forced to put out a product that didn’t match their initial vision. “My first album wasn’t even the album that y’all hear as Uncontrolled Substance,” Inspectah Deck said in an interview with VLADTV. “It was a totally different album…But the flood came.”

‐‐-------

And different members had separate solo deals so U God is full of shyt. Nobody was checking for a solo album from him.
