How the hell you think hip hop a young man's sport??? Is there a certain 40 yard dash time required?

Do you think people who grew up on hip hop want to listen to their kids rap about school? Or do you think we start listening to country or classic?
Yes hip hop is a young man's game. The rappers you named started off as young men. If those rappers started their careers in 30s or 40s they wouldn't have a career

dont put on your cape for the music industry every artist has their audience WHY SHOULD A GROWN MAN OR A GROWN WOMAN TRYNNA APPEAL TO KIDS MAKE IT MAKE SENSE

You being emotional.

I'm explaining why.

People mad fun of Music Soulchild for becoming a rapper instead of exploring why R&B artists can't survive in this climate.

This false. I'm old and dint want to hear music from kids.

I'm thrilled that the old artists like Kurupt, Rakim, KRS, LL, etc., are cranking back up.

Hip hop is NOT a young man's sport. People my age grew up on hip hop and still love it. Older people will support artists more than younger ones.

The Truth
Artists are just figuring this out and starting to put music out again.

For a while it was disheartening to be competing with young artists, but they're figuring they no longer have to compete with them. Just do what they do, market to their audience, and it'll do what it do.
shyt

With the amount of young people I see singing when old classics come on…

Might as well just make good music fukk your age

Firstly many of them weren't as young as you think.

Second, in today's time a person can indeed start their career in their 30s, 40s, or 50s.
Old rappers have no audience
Fukk you mean? You don't see all these 40+ people walking around? So you think they listen to classical music?

There's a huge audience waiting to be tapped in.

Biggie said treat everything like your first project…

Jay and Beyoncé been wave hopping every year to the point where they’ve bit Migos.

Trap Music is what’s popping right now.
If you wanna stay relevant you gotta switch up. Jay said it on Blueprint 3. Want my old sound? Buy my old album.

Then if you never switch up folks say your sound is stale. Only one solution.

The model needs to change. Everything is marketed towards kids, but adults have the money. shyt is dumb. Adults might be more frugal, but we definitely would spend a few dollars on artists that gear their content to adults. The US is the only country in the world that is as youth obsessed as it is.

And the fact that there is a delayed adulthood makes content worse. Adults aren't really adults these days until 25, sometimes 30 years old.
