Tyrese should concentrate on trying to get that Green Lantern role.

How much longer does he expect his role in the franchise to last? He plays one of those characters that can be killed off screen and it wouldn't bother the audience. And I say this as a dude who likes him as an actor.

Didn't Tyrese dead TGT because he wanted more cash than the other members though? How is this scenario any different? Shouldn't the Rock look out for his paper like Tyrese did with Ginuwine and Tank? :jbhmm:

False equivalency.

This is like Camron coming to Rocafella and becoming Vice President after six months without Jay's knowledge or approval. Nah nikka. That's our shyt. You weren't there in 1994. Go create your own label.

I'm going to tell you something not everyone really knows but, The Fast and The Furious was Paul Walkers Franchise, he was the protagonist in 1 and 2 then 3 was a spinoff because he was busy with other movies at that period.

Then Vin Diesel really weaseled his way back into the franchise and turned it into the expendables thus ruining the story imo

But nobody wants to talk about that

Shyt went from Brian as the star (the only one who had a solo movie )

To some family bullshyt

Naw....it was Paul Walker and Vin Diesel.

Paul was the main character and Vin was the muscled up foil who became the anti-hero. Then Tyrese replaced Vin Diesel as the bad boy street cat foil (no homo). In 3, Vin made a very much appreciated appearance. Then in 4, Vin and Paul came back and it was obvious the series needed both to really work because it was about Dom, Brian and Dom's family.

The only reason Vin left the series was he was trying to be taken seriously as an A-List celebrity. Wanted to do leading man films making leading man money...not make less money to do ensemble films. But by 2009, he realized he that wasn't going to happen, and Fast 4 became a big hit with just Vin & Paul. They never needed Rock at all. They could've added Jason Statham and that Khal Drogo cat or any other halfway popular actor and never missed a beat.

The Last of the Outlaws
It wouldn't be the first time a character caught enough traction to facilitate a spinoff movie or series.

Hobbs has a few similarities to the character Rock played in WWE, especially the last two installments he was in.

Why wouldn't he wanna get his paper without Vince and company profiting off his namesake

I get where Tyrese is coming from as he sees that FF well finally drying up if Rock starts his own wing of the franchise but messaging him on instagram like a scorned ex and pointing out "because you're not returning messages" is embarrassing.

I can already tell you what that "heart to heart" was about :sas1:

Everybody knows The Rock saved that franchise, a spin off on Hobbes was inevitable - but they all know that would spell the end of that whole silly ass franchise

Tyrese begged him not to do it b/c it's "family" and him and Paul Walker started that blah blah blah...:sas2:

Fast and Furious 4

$363 million on an $85 million budget

Yea, The Rock definitely saved the franchise :skip:

What was the Rock doing before 2009?

The Tooth Fairy, Doom, Faster, Gridiron Gang and the Game Plan. Big time blockbusters there bro :heh:

All because of Fast and Furious :comeon:

A movie series he aint help build. He hopped on it after it was hot.

List the billion dollar film franchises The Rock created from 1999 - 2010. I'll wait.
The franchise never made the kind of money it did until Rock came on. What you'r trying to say applies to Vin Diesel and Tyrese..not the guy who made San Andreas a smash hit:laugh:
