That whole Tyler interview was great I’m not even a fan of dude but he stood up for hip hop hopefully this sets a chain reaction or something comes from it because the game is in a really bad place. This isn’t the only bit worth taking about dude really went off.

Say what you want about the “blog era” rappers but they were the last of the Mohicans of dudes that really loved hip hop and brought originality.
Yup and anyone tryna shyt on Tyler for this or even try to make a remote comparison like son in the OP completely missed Tyler's point. The whole Odd Future was legit super talented af. From Frank Ocean to Tyler to Earl to even Syd The Kid etc etc. nikkas will call out Drake but not this Ian kid? Wild times.

Funny how things change as we get older. I knew shyt was different when Bonecrusher was mad at how hiphop got worse :mjlol: Why not try to do good music when you’re young? I’m ok with Tyler but he wasn’t always on this wave.. he’s definitely gotten better but c’mon man
Tyler ALWAYS been super talented. He was just weird but him and his crew always put hella effort into they shyt from the production to the bars to the music videos. On top of that they were trying to bring something new and original to the game. U obviously didn't fukk wit them back then but go back. Listen to they shyt bruh. Frank Ocean, Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler, etc etc. U want some dope rnb listen to The Internet. Tell me that crew wasn't talented.

He breaks down how deep he was into making actual music from the start in the interview. His immaturity at the time made it easy to overlook his talent if you weren't really listening to OF.

I’m ok with Tyler now. I def was messing with some of the clique’s early music plus the internet came out of there so i gave them passes. Initial Tyler was not my thing though but like I said I’m messaging with his music more these days.

I played tf out of this song when I first heard it

There's a reason damn near 10 people from Odd Future went on to having very successful careers, from music to fashion to acting. They were a bunch of really talented black kids.

Tyler is right and I like that he made it clear he's not shytting on all white rappers. I think most of us can make the distinction because the bullshyt always feels like a parody that somebody in a C-suite is laughing about. There's always this underlining "look at me bullshytting with your so called culture" vibe. They don't respect culture, they openly play in our faces, and certain cultural/media figures fall over themselves to play along.

We're probably 1-2 years away from this dude growing facial hair, rapping over 90s r&b samples and getting black women on board. Sound familiar?

not for nothing but the white kid aeemslike hes a tyler fan in first place.

That whole fan base started with him. So what he crying about.

Tyler was the black kid who used white culture in a mocking way. Now hes the white kid doing the same thing. Tyler created this blueprint.

Its very obvious and I can see why it bothers Tyler.

But I’m past the point in my life where I care about these sort of things just give me some slaps I can add to my gym playlist and then gone off into rock/country in 2 years. Seen the play a bunch of times already.

In another ten years I bet Tyler won’t give af anymore either and will start trying to get bags off kids like this.

Ik it’s finna be the unpopular opinion but Tbh I don’t really agree, Ian hard imo and he don’t really be talkin street shyt on his music, really just rich cac rap on Holiday beats

And fr fr what’s the difference between what Tyler said and what Khaled said bout Tyler’s music being weird; Breh used to talk bout raping bytches on tracks

Wasn’t one of Rick Ross biggest hits about raping women too though? Lol
